Notes
Recorded live Los Angeles, CA, February 26, 1952.Originally released 1952 as Mercury MGC-116 10" LP.
Reissued 1953 as Clef MGC-116 10" LP.
David Stone Martin cover first appears on 1957 reissue as Verve MGV 8072 12" LP. As distinct from later reissues, the Verve mark is in a shaded rectangle, not a circle, and the cover does not have "Quartet Supervised by Norman Grantz" vertically on right side.
However, there are two U.S. releases with this cover, the earlier has a trumpet player sketch on the label that latter doesn't. Thus, this should be separated into two releases with that distinction.
