Few albums have so many brilliant songs on them. This album is a close to perfect as anyone will ever get. Every song is just so electrifying and captivating. Everything from the vocals, to the lyrics, to the instruments are so hard-hitting and sharp ", and they're the ones that made me a Monkeys fan, but their second album is incredible. With most artists, I enjoy a couple of songs on the album, but this one I could play on loop all day. There's not a single song I truly dislike. The tone and energy are perfect. I wish their newer music sounded a bit more like their classic albums. Something I love about this album is that, although it was a very quick follow up to the debut, it doesn't feel rushed. There's such a cheeky feel to this alum as well

Ranking the albums by Pixies is as hard as choosing which parent, or child, I imagine, you love the most. Especially when it’s your second favourite band of all time. NME gave the album 9 and a half out of ten when it was released in 1988 but in retrospect it feels like a 10/10 record. Surfer Rosa’ was the album that encouraged Kurt Cobain to choose producer Steve Albini for ‘In Utero’, telling Melody Maker in ’92 that it informed much of his songwriting for his album. It’s the record that made Billy Corgan exclaim ‘Holy shit!’ – and for good reason. The kit and caboodle and whole nine yards and full monty etc. From the angelic monkey on the cover and the fire of ‘Debaser’ through to ‘Gouge Away’ at the end of the loaf, there are no weak moments. Though there are better songs on other albums, ‘Doolittle’ is consistently brilliant.

The 1997 album Chopper City was supposed to be the follow-up, but when Wayne accidentally shot himself in the chest with a 9mm, it became a solo . Mainstream distribution would help that year's Hot Boys album Guerrilla Warfare to reach the number one spot on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. In 1998, Lil Wayne would appear on Juvenile's hit single "Back That Thing Up," or "Back That Azz Up" as it appeared on Juvie's album 400 Degreez. Wayne would launch his solo career a year later with the album Tha Block Is Hot, featuring the hit single title track. It went double platinum but the rapper was still unknown to Middle America, since his hardcore rhymes and the rough Cash Money sound had.

Spoken I think I can beat, one little monkey How much time you got? Spoken Well, lucky for you, your old pal MatPat just so happened to be the captain of his high school chess team They used to call me the PAWN-Star Spoken Ye. You'll take his piece for free! And that monkey's got no chance to make a monkey out of me! Spoken Smartest show in gaming, huh? Spoken Hey!
