Diamond Dogs is the eighth studio album by the English musician David Bowie, released on 24 May 1974 by RCA Records. Thematically, it was a marriage of the novel Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell and Bowie's own glam-tinged vision of a post-apocalyptic world. Bowie had wanted to make a theatrical production of Orwell's book and began writing material after completing sessions for his 1973 album Pin Ups, but the author's estate denied the rights.

Rebel Rebel, you've torn your dress Rebel Rebel, your face is a mess Rebel Rebel, how could they know? Hot tramp, I love you so! {Bridge}. The song deals openly with Bowie’s uncertain sexuality, adding to the debate and his allure. It is considered his last glam single from an album that signals his transformation into the funk and soul stage of his career, Diamond Dogs. What is the meaning behind this song. a well performed version of Diamond Dogs with a unique drum part not played on the other shows of the tour, nice to have but you probably won't listen to it too much due to the rather distant audience recorded source material, especially when near complete shows from this leg of the tour are circulating in better quality - for instance the unfairly maligned Don't Touch That Dial/Wembley Wizard Touches the Dial from 2 days later.David seems to get caught out at the end of Rebel Rebel.
