Laszlo Gardony is a fine modern mainstream pianist whose music sometimes includes references to his roots in Hungary. He has been in the United States since 1983 and his current trio with bassist John Lockwood and drummer Yoron Israel has been together for six years thus far. The music on Dig Deep was recorded during a two-day period and the performances are all first takes. Gardony wrote all nine songs except "Summertime

Laszlo Gardony is a superior jazz improviser who infuses post-bop music with references to his Hungarian folk roots. He studied at the Béla Bartók Conservatory in Budapest, graduating in 1979. Gardony recorded five albums on European labels, toured throughout Europe, and then in 1983 emigrated to the . He performed with the group Forward Motion, recording two albums for Hep. Since graduating from Berklee, Gardony joined their faculty on a part-time basis, played with John Abercrombie, and recorded as a leader for Antilles, Avenue Jazz, and Sunnyside. Two years later, he followed with another solo piano album entitled Serious Play, combining spontaneously recorded studio compositions with a few soulful reimaginings of standards.
Dig Deep is the fifth studio album by American progressive metal band After the Burial. The album was released on February 19, 2016 through Sumerian Records and is the band's first release since the death of guitarist Justin Lowe. It is also the final album by the band to feature founding bassist Lee Foral. The release of Dig Deep was announced on January 4, 2016, when the cover art and track listing was unveiled. The first single "Lost in the Static" was released on October 29, 2015
