Greatest Hits is the second compilation album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. It was released on November 18, 2003 by Warner Bros. Aside from their cover of "Higher Ground", all songs on the compilation are from their tenure on Warner Bros. Records from 1991 to 2002, in addition to two newly recorded songs. Greatest Hits was released along with a separately sold DVD containing most of their music videos from the same time period.

Greatest Hits is the second "best-of" compilation album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers' first Warner Bros. Greatest Hits album spans almost 15 years of rock greatness. The CD+DVD version of Greatest Hits adds a DVD disc of 16 of the band's best-known videos.

Los Angeles' Red Hot Chili Peppers are known to many as one of the best alternative rock bands. Blending c-inspired grooves with Los Angeles’ first wave of punk of the early ‘80s, the Red Hot Chili Peppers still influence the next generation of musicians.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers' Greatest Hits is a compelling listen, culling tracks from the band's 1989 breakthrough, Mother's Milk, to its melodic 2002 release, By the Way. In some ways, one could view this as the best of the John Frusciante years, charting most of the band's work with the talented guitarist after the death of original member Hillel Slovak. Similarly, nothing from the Chili Peppers' rambunctious early efforts - including 1984's Red Hot Chili Peppers, 1985's Freaky Styley, and 1987's The Uplift Mofo Party Plan - appears on this hits collection.
