Earth 2: Special Low Frequency Version, also known as simply Earth 2, is the first full-length studio album by the drone metal band Earth. Produced by Earth and Stuart Hallerman, it was released on February 5, 1993, on Sub Pop Records. The album was influential in the development of drone music and drone metal genres.

Their first full length album, Earth 2: Special Low Frequency Version, took the roots of their EP and refined the hell out of it. What we have here are 3 very strong tracks that slowly intertwine to create a very dense, dark atmosphere provided by just a guitar and bass. This is an album that you need to lay yourself down for and become completely absorbed in it. The rumbling low bass and guitar layered in fuzz puts a weight on your chest like no other. This is one I recommend as a good introduction to drone metal in its beginnings. The best way to experience drone metal is to feel it. Don’t expect to find a cohesive structure or consistent rhythm, just let the vibrations carry you throughout the album.

This album fails to justify its own existence. What is the target audience here and what is the appeal of this endless stream of nothingness supposed to be? I'm starting to suspect there's some instrument on this album being played at a frequency that's too high-pitched for my ears to detect

Doom metal is very slow, dark, heavy music, like Black Sabbath. But Earth goes even further than that. Imagine Black Sabbath WITHOUT drums and vocals. You may think the album sucks the way I described it, but in fact I love the album.

ABOUT TMT 15®. Heavy metals are indispensable for many production processes, yet their use leaves behind waste water that contains heavy metal. To minimize environmental pollution, national goverments and international organisations have established limits for heavy metals in waste waters and exhaust gases which may not be exceeded. Usually, heavy metals in waste water are precipitated by adding sodium hydroxide or lime during neutralization. However, the results of this process are far from satisfying in many cases: The remaining heavy metal concentrations are too high
