Gabrielle Bell (born March 24, 1976 in London, England) is a British-American alternative cartoonist known for her surrealist, melancholy l stories. When Bell was two, her American mother divorced her British father and took Gabrielle and her brother back to the United States. Ending up in a relatively isolated rural town in Mendocino County, Bell writes that she "grew u. .spending a lot of time reading, walking in the woods, and making up stories.

There’s always one song-one old song from the back catalog-that die-hard fans scream for at shows. Antichrist is that song for the 1975, a cornerstone in their EP quartet. A bridge between the band’s set of EPs, first album and second album, the lyrics address drugs and relationships and family and boredom in an almost sarcastically sugar-coated and easy-to-sing-along chorus that laments everything’s alright. A stunning love song that went through a couple stylistic iterations, Robbers stands out in the 1975’s discography for its powerful vocals and Bonnie and Clyde-inspired lyrics. I’ve seen it bring fans to tears and bring the entirety of MSG together in a collective singalong, belting out the emotional bridge: Babe, you look so cool.

Novelty songs, long a music industry staple, continued their popularity in the Rock and Roll medium with hits such as "Beep Beep". Classic pop. Popular music dominated the charts for the first half of the decade. As Miller told "Time" magazine in 1951, "Every singer has certain sounds he makes better than others. Frankie Laine is sweat and hard words-he's a guy beating the pillow, a purveyor of basic emotions. Guy Mitchell is better with happy-go-lucky songs; he's a virile young singer, gives people a vicarious lift. Rosemary Clooney is a barrelhouse dame, a hillbilly at heart.
