With "M'Pas Bwe M'Pas Mange: Work Song," percussive sounds come from a group of men pounding grain in a large wooden mortar. While in a trance, a testifying priest acts a medium for the gods on "Spirit Conversation (Cult Priest at Leogane). Harold Courlander's detailed introduction and liner notes contextualize this.
