You're Boring, 00:53. Queen The Show Must Go On. Biker-FM.
Go To Prison is one of the best ‘hardcore punk’ albums I’ve heard in a while, which is very impressive considering it’s PEARS‘ first full-length effort. It may only be 20-ish minutes long with a 10-song tracklist, but the New Orleans 4-piece manages to pack a whole lot of awesome shit into that 20 minutes. As one might expect, all the songs have a very angry feel. Though it’s not a groundbreaking record (let’s face it, there’s not much ground left to break when it comes to punk rock), Go To Prison is a very strong debut full-length effort and it successfully delivers 20 minutes of non-stop, balls-to-the-wall punk rock akin to a sonic kick in the teeth.
When I first gave Pears’ album, Go To Prison, a listen, I had to sit in quiet reflection as to what I had just heard. This is hands down one of the best releases of 2014. For a new band on the block, out of the voodoo juju of New Orleans, Pears’ debut full-length album has it all. This ten song album packs the punch of hardcore/punk and everything in between all in a mere twenty-two minutes. Starting off with You’re Boring this song is everything but and is a clear indicator of what to expect in the upcoming songs.

Go To Prison is the debut release from New Orleans hardcore upstarts PEARS. Since its limited release in 2014, Go To Prison has taken the punk scene by the balls and refused to let go. Needless to say, we at Fat Wreck Chords are huge fans and after a few overtures we successfully convinced PEARS to let us rerelease this monumental album. 1. You’re Boring 2. Victim To Be 3.
