Goodbye Surfing, Hello God!: The Religious Conversion of Brian Wilson" is an article written by Jules Siegel chronicling his experiences with Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys during recording sessions for the unfinished studio album Smile and its collapse. It was first published in the magazine Cheetah in October 1967, and has since been anthologized in several formats.
Their second album Goodbye Surfing, Hello God was recorded at Sing Sing Studios Melbourne with New York producer Don Fleming (Teenage Fanclub, The Posies, Sonic Youth) in 1996. This was Naylor's final recording session with the band as he left to pursue his band Even. Guitarist Dan O'Halloran replaced Naylor in 1997. O'Halloran left the band in mid 1998 & the band performed as trio for the remaining time with the occasional inclusion of keyboardist Craig Sayer. Rail performed at The Big Day Out Melbourne & The Falls Festival

Hello! So, I have a wide selection of Beach Boys bootlegs, but for the life of me, I can't seem to find Goodbye Surfing, Hello God from Vigitone. If anyone has it (no matter what quality), I would be super gracious.
The following is adapted from Siegel’s original 1967 story, recently resurrected by The Atavist as an ebook single for the Kindle and Nook, and as a multimedia production in The Atavist iPhone/iPad app. I’m writing a teenage symphony to God, Brian Wilson told dinner guests on an October evening.
