Frank Herbert's Dune is a three-part science fiction television miniseries based on the eponymous novel by Frank Herbert. It was directed and adapted by John Harrison. Frank Herbert was an American author, and the creator of the Dune novels and its vast fictional universe. Herbert was born in Tacoma, Washington in 1920.
