The original line-up consisted of Robert Byrd (b. 1932) and Earl Nelson (b. 1928). They both had been members of The Hollywood Flames, a Los Angeles doo-wop group whose major hit was "Buzz-Buzz-Buzz" in 1958. In 1960, Byrd and Nelson worked together as 'Bob & Earl' but, unfortunately, these releases had relatively scarce success, leading Byrd to restart his solo career. In 1962, Nelson engaged a second "Bob": Bob Relf

The sweet pea (Lathyrus odoratus) is a flowering plant in the genus Lathyrus in the family Fabaceae (legumes), native to Sicily, Cyprus, southern Italy and the Aegean Islands. The leaves are pinnate with two leaflets and a terminal tendril, which twines around supporting plants and structures, helping the sweet pea to climb.

Sweet Pea 'Earl Grey'. Will grow in Full Sun. Good for Cutting. Loved by Pollinators. An antique silk, stippled new variety of sweet pea which looks as beautiful freshly open as when the flowers fade. Good scent, and impressive stem and flower production. Flaked (odoratus), Spencer.

A curious album that has the feel of a thrown-together exploitation LP - there's no indication of when the tracks were recorded, although an educated guess would put the era in the mid-'60s. It's serviceable period soul with a slight uptown production feel, but not outstanding. The version of "Harlem Shuffle" here is not the original, but an instrumental rendition with a faster tempo and fuzz guitars.
