Notes

"The Sounds of Lincoln was first conceived as a cooperative project by the Parent-Teacher Association and school administration to raise money for the purchase of an organ for the Abraham Lincoln High School Auditorium. The Senior Class Council assumed the responsibility of promoting and selling the record.

After a year of recording sounds within the school, the record seemed to have taken on additional meaning. The record gives the listener the opportunity to dissect a school as it educates the youth of today in meeting the challenge of the future and secondly, it historically preserves through its sounds, a more meaningful past."
