Impressive first album, considering this is a one man's effort. There is still some need for more natural instrumental sections or a bit more diverse compositions, but Adams' idea of blending the powerful side of Progressive Rock with the ethereal sound of a Classical guitar is welcome to say the least.

ARZ released SERAI, in 2005. ARZ, which in the beginning was a one man project by the American Steven Adams, had produced two excellent CDs in 2005. I often have reservations when I received a one man orchestra opus; however, not this time. The musicianship is of the highest level, no doubt about it.
Unlike Serai, ARZ’s first release, this album is understated in its approach focusing on bringing the listener to a state, a mental and spiritual receptivity to the sonic tales. Ur and The Magi are part of an ongoing song cycle that began with The Strange Experiment of Dr. Trent a track from Serai. Ur was an ancient Sumerian city home of the Chaldeans and also of Abraham mentioned in the book of Genesis. It rocks, it swings, and sometimes it just lays back and lets the music whisper.
Caravanserai is the fourth studio album by the American rock band Santana, released on October 11, 1972. Caravanserai marked a major turning point in Carlos Santana's career as it was a sharp departure from his critically acclaimed first three albums. Original bass guitarist David Brown left the group in 1971 and was replaced by Doug Rauch and Tom Rutley, while Armando Peraza replaced original percussionist Michael Carabello after his departure.
