In the past Rza has used his Bobby Digital persona as an outlet for his more experimental impulses. The first two Bobby Digital albums were unrepentantly unorthodox, defiantly dissonant exercises in near avant-garde Hip-Hop productions and cryptic rhymes, based in Rza’s obscure but often compelling personal cosmology. HereRza trades the moodily abstract soundscapes of Wu-Tang’s The 8 Diagrams for rough-hewn old school funk reminiscent of his recent soundtrack work for Quentin Tarantino.
Digi Snacks is the fourth solo studio album by American rapper and a producer RZA; the third album under his Bobby Digital alias. Continuing the story from Digital Bullet, the album was released, on June 24, 2008 on Koch Records. The album was originally entitled Digi Snax, but was changed before release.

Of course there's the death of Ol' Dirty Bastard plus the Wu's resurgence and their 8 Diagrams album, but what this final entry in the Bobby Digital trilogy is most colored by is RZA's recent soundtrack work and the Wu's move from major-label powerhouse to a free and thriving, free indie crew.
Rza As Bobby Digital, Digi Snacks. The last Wu-Tang Clan album was denounced by Raekwon from the group as 'fucking hippie hip hop'; he could hardly have imagined how much worse things were about to get. For his third solo album as his blaxploitation superhero alter ego, Wu founder the RZA retains many of the cast who featured on 8 Diagrams (George Clinton, Dhani Harrison, Chili Pepper John Frusciante) and adds Shavo Odadjian of prog-metallers System of a Down. But the most telling contributions come from Thea van Seijen, an unknown Swedish singer and sonic ringer for Bianca from folktronic weirdos CocoRosie.
